I needed Misty Cawthon today. She has held my hand before every major step in our adoption and she was not here today. I miss you, Misty. I'm glad we got to talk on the phone. Texas will NEVER be the same without you here.
Well, I'm nervous again. All these firsts. First major surgery with Paul next week. I made a mistake today...felt like I ought to do something really special with Paul since he's about to have a rough week. I gave him half a cupcake from Sprinkles bakery. You know where the other half went. Well, now I know what Paul is like on sugar.
I've been busy packing. Carl got a haircut for his television debut. I bought some new mascara. Paul will be wearing overalls. This TV commercial must be a big ol' deal because we have received 5 phone calls and 3 emails about it. It will take 5 hours from start to finish. Paul's surgeon, Dr. Kirschner, will be interviewed after our part is complete...so hopefully we'll get to meet him that day.
Everything is going as it should, I guess. Please pray for us.
